Terms and conditions
Last updated 27 September 2026.
These terms
These terms apply to the use of this website and to the services Refresh Electrical Pty Ltd provides. Where we do work for you, the written proposal you accept sets out the specific scope, price and timing, and these terms sit alongside it. Nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
What we do
We design and install solar, battery storage, EV charging and general electrical work for homes and businesses. All work is carried out by an owner or a licensed Refresh Electrical employee under NSW electrical contractor licence 502488C, with Solar Accreditation Australia accreditation S0245959.
Assessment and proposal
The first assessment is free and carries no obligation. Your proposal is prepared from your bills, the roof as measured and your switchboard as found, and shows the equipment, the layout, modelled generation and the price.
Price
The price in your accepted proposal is fixed. If something is found behind the switchboard or under the roof during the work that changes the scope, we stop, explain it and give you the revised price in writing. No additional work proceeds until you have approved it.
Scheduling
Installation dates are set by agreement. Weather, network approvals and equipment delivery can move a date, and we will tell you as soon as we know. We are not responsible for delays caused by matters outside our control, but we will always tell you where things stand.
Your responsibilities
You agree to give us accurate information, safe access to the property and switchboard on the day, and to secure belongings in the working area. Where a job needs strata, landlord or heritage approval, obtaining it is your responsibility; we will tell you what is needed.
Payment
Payment terms are set out in your proposal. A deposit may be required to order equipment and hold an installation date. The balance is due on completion and commissioning unless your proposal says otherwise. Equipment remains our property until paid for in full.
Warranty
Our workmanship carries a 10-year warranty from the date your installation is completed. It covers the work we did: the installation, wiring and connections. It does not cover wear, damage caused by others, or the equipment itself. Equipment carries its manufacturer’s warranty, which we register in your name at handover; those periods vary by product and are shown in your proposal.
To make a claim, call us on 0424 599 199 or email info@refreshelectrical.com.au with your name, the job address and what has gone wrong. If the fault is in our workmanship, we fix it at our cost, including our time and travel. The warrantor is Refresh Electrical Pty Ltd, ABN 58 700 110 096, Padstow Heights NSW 2211.
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled: to cancel your service contract with us; and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods. If a failure with the goods or a service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. If this is not done you are entitled to a refund for the goods and to cancel the contract for the service and obtain a refund of any unused portion. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage from a failure in the goods or service.
The benefits of this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies you have under the law. If you have a complaint, see our complaints process.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the scope of work in your accepted proposal. We are not responsible for damage caused by misuse, lack of maintenance, alteration by others, pre-existing faults in the property, or events such as storms and grid failures. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Using this website
The content of this website, including text, photographs and branding, belongs to Refresh Electrical Pty Ltd and may not be reused without permission. Information on the site is general in nature; figures for savings and rebates are indicative and are confirmed in your proposal.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top. Work already agreed under a proposal is governed by the terms in force when you accepted it.
