Who we are

Refresh Electrical Pty Ltd is a licensed electrical contractor in New South Wales, working across the Sutherland Shire. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this website or our services, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

When you send the enquiry form, call or email us, we collect what you give us: your name, phone number, suburb and, if you choose to provide them, your email address, property type, a bill bracket and any notes about your project. If you ask for our free solar guide, we also collect your email address and when you are thinking of doing the work. If you send us the free battery and EV check, we also collect a copy of your last electricity bill, a photo of your switchboard and your answers about your solar system and any electric vehicle. During an assessment we may also record details about your roof, switchboard and energy use, and copies of your electricity bills.

The website itself collects only what is needed to serve the pages, plus a record of how you found us: the page you first arrived on, the site that sent you there, and any campaign tags in that link, such as an advertising click identifier. Your browser holds this for the length of your visit only, and it reaches us only if you send the enquiry form, attached to your enquiry. We do not run advertising trackers.

How we use it

We use your information to reply to your enquiry, send you the guide or the check result you asked for, size and quote a system, schedule and carry out the work, lodge grid connection and rebate paperwork on your behalf, register equipment warranties in your name, and provide warranty support afterwards. We may also contact you about the system we installed. We do not send marketing you have not asked for.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only where the job requires it: with your electricity network and retailer for grid connection, with the Clean Energy Regulator and NSW Government for rebates and incentives, with equipment manufacturers for warranty registration, and with the small number of service providers that run our email, forms and accounting. Each receives only what it needs.

Forms on this site are processed by Netlify, whose servers may be outside Australia. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Cookies

This site does not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking. Your browser may store small files needed for the site to function, including the record of how you found us described above, which is kept in session storage and cleared when you close the tab. You can clear or block these in your browser settings.

How we protect it

Enquiries and job records are stored in access-controlled accounts and kept only as long as we need them for the work, warranty support and our legal record-keeping obligations. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email or call us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

This site links to manufacturers, government programs and other third parties. Their privacy practices are their own and we are not responsible for them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
