Yes. A charger can be set to use solar that would otherwise go back to the grid. At the assessment we check your board has room for the charger’s circuit.
It depends on how much power you use between sunset and bed, which your bills and your retailer’s app show. The federal rebate pays its full rate on the first 14 kWh of usable capacity. Beyond that, bigger isn’t always better value.
